Frequently Asked Questions about Side Walls, Logo Banners
Can I purchase side walls directly online?
Due to the variety of options for our side walls, we have decided to accept orders only upon request for the time being. This ensures that you receive the optimal model for your needs.
How are the side walls fixed to the tent frame?
The side walls have a horizontal zipper at the top edge with which the side wall is mounted to the roof.
In addition, each side wall has lateral Velcro tabs (4 cm) that are fitted with a plastic bracket. These tabs are wrapped around the tent support legs and the plastic bracket prevents the Velcro from tearing out, as the tensile force acts on the bracket and not directly on the Velcro. The Velcro is actually only the fastener.
How can I transport the side walls?
Each Expotent side wall is packed in its own carrying bag. If you want to keep the side wall clean for years, you should use these carrying bags as packaging. Each bag also includes a transparent nylon bag in which you should always pack the side wall. This nylon bag prevents the inner bag fabric from staining the side wall fabric.
The side walls must always be stored dry in the carrying bag to prevent mold formation.
Upon request, larger bags are also available in which you can store 3 or 4 side walls together, for example.
Can I have side walls printed on both sides?
Yes – the Expotent side walls can also be printed on both sides. For this purpose, we use a specially coated fabric that prevents the back from showing through and does not require a third layer between the printed fabric parts. Thus, the double-sided printed side wall still remains relatively light.
Are there different closure systems at the corners?
As standard, a vertical Velcro fastener (micro Velcro) is sewn so that two adjacent side walls can be cleanly closed together vertically. This fastener also prevents water, sand, or snow from entering the interior of the tent.
Optionally, however, we are also happy to sew in a vertical zipper. Instead of the Velcro fastener, the zipper is then simply closed vertically and achieves the same effect.
The only disadvantage of the zipper is that if it is defective, it no longer works – whereas the Velcro fastener normally still works.
Can I order the side walls "higher"?
Because some Expotent frames can already be adjusted to a passage height of 230 cm or even 250 cm, higher side walls may also be required. Please consult our specialists for advice – there are various options. Of course, we are happy to sew the side walls higher if necessary so that you can use the Expotent optimally.
Optionally, the side walls can also be raised using the logo banner. This bridges the gap between the side wall and the roof when the frame is set up at an elevated height.
What is the function of the logo banner?
The logo banner has two functions – on the one hand, the advertising effect with printed additional advertising and on the other hand, as an extension of the side wall. If the tent is set up at 230 cm passage height, for example, higher side walls are also required. For this purpose, the logo banner (e.g. 30 cm height) is used as an intermediate part between the roof and the 2 m high side wall. Thus, the side wall still remains at 200 cm and you can also set up the tent without a logo banner at 200 cm passage height, should the room height not allow a higher tent, for example.
At the lower end of the logo banner, a horizontal Velcro fastener is sewn in, to which the side walls can then be mounted.
Of course, the logo banner can also be used simply as an advertising medium without side walls.
